Bring High Speed Rail to New Jersey

Dear Senator Lautenberg:

Thank you for helping bring $38.5 million to New Jersey to open up the infamous bottleneck on the Northeast Corridor between Newark and Secaucus stations.

But don't stop now!

Having high-speed rail connecting all the major cities in Northeast is a worthy investment. Not only would this fix our outdated infrastructure but it would rejuvenate our economy by providing thousands of sustainable jobs, cut out tons of carbon emissions that cause global warming, stop urban sprawl, clear up highway congestion, reduce our dependence on foreign oil and improve our quality of life.

I am giving you my support to be a champion for high-speed rail!

Tell Congress: No NRA loopholes to DISCLOSE Act

Congress has created a loophole for the NRA in the new DISCLOSE Act, a bill to require corporations to disclose their contributions to political campaigns.

This is outrageous. Real reform means that all organizations abide by the same rules.

Sign our petition to Congress below, and tell them to shoot down the NRA loophole.

Dear legislator,

The DISCLOSE Act is intended to serve as a good stopgap measure to the recent Supreme Court decision by forcing greater disclosure of corporate contributions to political campaigns.

Allowing a special exemption for just one very powerful interest group that creates a loophole for the very corporate money that is the central concern of this bill is outrageous.

Please close this loophole and strengthen the bill by including the Shareholder Protection Act which will increase corporations' accountability to their shareholders.
